Posie (full name: Mariposa) is a confident, curious, and social tortie with striking green eyes and a distinctive personality. She enjoys exploring her environment and often seeks out high vantage points where she can observe her surroundings.
She’s active and playful, especially when engaging with her favorite toys, and has a strong hunting instinct during play. Posie is also affectionate and enjoys spending time near her people: she’s a lap cat who’s happy to curl up while you read, work, or relax. She loves watching birds and the world go by from a window.
While she values her independence, she is a loyal and interactive companion who brings a perfect balance of spunk and sweetness to any home!

What criteria are important to you when considering an adoptive family or home for your pet?:
A calm, loving forever home with responsible and committed owners who will provide the care, attention, and stability she deserves. An ideal match would be someone excited to welcome a sweet, playful companion into their life—someone who will engage with her, play with her, and help keep her curious mind stimulated. She must remain an indoor-only cat (enclosed balconies are perfectly fine), and she’ll thrive in a home where she’s treated as a true member of the family
Is there anything else you'd like your pet's new family to know?:
She has previously lived with a small dog and was cordial. She's also lived with another cat her whole life, but she has a big personality and can be a bit territorial—she may swat or growl occasionally to assert her space. Because of this, she may do best as the only cat or in a home with other confident, non-timid cats who can respect her boundaries. She can get a bit overstimulated when pet and may give a gentle nip to say she needs space, so children in the home should be able to understand and respect her signals—she enjoys affection, but on her own terms
Why are you rehoming your pet (primary reason)?:
Allergies in Family
How long will you be able to keep your pet before you may need to consider surrendering him or her to a rescue?:
Not an option, my pet will stay with me for as long as it takes
