Juniper

Juniper, AKA June Bug or Junie B. Jones, is a six-year-old, 70+ pound Belgian Malinois/Shepherd mix. She is sweet as can be and full of energy (doggy parkour anyone?!). Juniper loves nothing more than cuddling up with the people she loves on the couch for a long day of snuggles. She has no history of health problems, and she is up to date with all medical care (vaccines, microchipping, check-ups, etc.).

Juniper is incredibly playful and energetic. Her favorite game is chasing tennis balls around the house, and she adores chewing up toys until they are completely demolished. She needs a big backyard that she can run and play in, and she can never resist chasing squirrels and barking at birds. Her biggest nemesis is the mailman and the UPS man. She has a strong bark and takes protecting her house very seriously.

Juniper is good with children but would do best in a home without other animals. Juniper is housebroken but not crate-trained.

What's the most endearing thing about your dog?: Juniper is a mother hen. We have young kids in the house and if anyone cries, she is right there to make sure they are okay. In an ideal world, she'd spend her entire day cuddling with her family. She likes to know where her people are and that they are okay.
What criteria are important to you when considering an adoptive family or home for your pet?: A home that is loving and calm would be best for Juniper. We also think she would do best in a home where she is the only pet.
Is there anything else you'd like your pet's new family to know?: Juniper is playful, sweet, and a gentle giant. If you are ready to give her the playtime and energy outlets she needs, she will return the favor 10-fold by being the best companion you could ask for.
Why are you rehoming your pet (primary reason)?: Schedule, No Time
Details about rehoming reason (if needed): We have two young kids (3 yrs and 5 months), we both work full-time, and we have another (cranky) older dog. Juniper isn't getting the care she needs, which is leading to some annoying and destructive behaviors (social anxiety when we leave the house, reacting to dogs walking by, etc.) As a result, my mental health is taking a turn for the worse and is not where I need it to be to care for my family.
